The Plant Sitter

I recently saw this article about a house being swallowed up by a plant.

The picture immediately made me feel less overwhelmed about everything I need to do at my own home.

It also reminded me of one of my favorite books as a child, The Plant Sitter.   It’s the story of a boy that takes on a summer job caring for all his neighbors’ house plants.  The job is exhausting and stressful, causing the boy to suffer panic attacks.  The book is my first memory of understanding the concept/feeling of stress.

  1. The house looks like something out of sci-fi movie in the before pics…creepy. I had never heard of the book “The Plant Sitter” – sounds interesting – will have to see if our local library has a copy.

  2. I used to love that book when I was kid. It is much scarier in real life.
