“The funeral home only realized its error when it checked the body for a tattoo it should have had and didn’t find it there . . .”

Says news reports about a Pennsylvania funeral home being sued over a body mix up.

So what is the take away message about this case?  The next time someone asks you how you will feel about your tattoos when you are old, here’s your answer:  “Pretty freakin’ great.”  And maybe some attorneys who specialize in elder law and estate planning will consider advising clients to get some ink.  You can never be too careful.

  1. Cool as ~ Love this little tale…
    Rock on fellow Tattoo’ed Friends!

  2. I think that showing your grandkids or great-grandkids your tattoos would be a kick. I had not ever given any thought to how they can help your loved ones identify your corpse.

  3. During a routine physical, my physisian once sketched one of my tattoos. Next best thing next to dental records, I guess.
