Judge tentatively dismisses suit against San Mateo County Coroner over mishandled remains

The court issued this tentative ruling of dismissal on Wednesday.  In California, state courts can issue a tentative ruling first.  If no one objects to the ruling it becomes final.  If there is an objection, the court holds a hearing on the matter.  The hearing on the motion to dismiss is scheduled for Thursday morning.

I previously blogged about this case here.

Stay tuned.

  1. Are you from the Bay Area?

  2. Will be interesting to hear how this turns out. Unless a person signs for organ donation I don’t think it is right that any party take something from a deceased person without the family’s expressed permission.
