Gothic Award

I’ll admit it. I’m too cool for award memes that go around the internet. Well, that is, unless I am given an award. And then, I think they are the best thing ever.

Yesterday, I learned that the lovely and talented Le Professeur Gothique nominated me for the “Gothic Blog Award.”

As part of the this honor, I am to select three Goth blogs that I enjoy reading.

Without further adieu, I will release the bats.

1. Sabayon, publisher of “Ruffles Not Diets“– Sabayon writes on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to fashion, feminism and fairy tales. I admire that she has such a strong voice and such a young age. Plus, I like her style. This recent post inspired me to get back into velvet. And her blog is always filled with helpful recommendations. Her blog is solely responsible for getting me into the comic book series “Fables.” Thanks again!
2. Luna Valentine aka Queen Cicada, publisher of Metamorphosis — Ms. Valentine’s blog is responsible for most of my makeup buying these days. She has lots of great posts on smaller, independent makeup companies. She has great blog-worthy hair. Currently, she is sporting on of my favorite color combinations. And she also provides helpful fashion tips. Because of her, I own the adorable bat mary janes that she is sporting in her latest post. Thanks Luna!

3. Adora BatBrat — She is everything I’m not (blond, makeup artist, Swedish) but I’d like to be her best friend and bake things with her. In her latest post, she talks about being a mom and goth, “When I got the kids from school looking like this their classmates were stunned, and some a bit scared. Giving them nightmares like a true Goth should!” Bwahaha. Love it. I like the way she writes and that she does not appear to be self-conscious or inhibited at all.
