Ministry is back from the dead

Back from the dead. Time to ding-a-ding-dang my-dang-a-long-ling-long.

Ministry broke up for good in 2008.  But this month Ministry announced that they are back together and set to release a new album in time for the holidays.

“I think this is actually gonna wind up being the fastest and heaviest record I’ve ever done,” teases Jourgensen, describing the new Ministry songs, “It’s gonna be brutal and it’s gonna freak a lot of people out.”

After yet another near death experience, Al Jourgensen is once again a clean-living vegetarian.  But he thinks he can thrash harder than ever.  Even without a Bush in the White House, Mr. Jourgensen plans to rail against the ever growing oligarchy that has destroyed the middle class on the new album and soon to be announced tour.

I am going to get my tickets as soon as they go sale.  This tour had better happen.

  1. Glad to see Al is alive and well. His lifestyle would have killed a lesser man. The new album sounds pretty great.

  2. This just made my night.

  3. iTunes just brought up stigMata from the Hardware soundtrack, and I thought of you 🙂

  4. Oh my god. This is the best news I’ve seen all week.

I “discovered” Ministry in high school and last saw them on tour sometime in 2006(?). I’d love to see them again.
