Goth Detergent

What a beautiful bottle!

I’m not usually swayed by advertisements, but after seeing the above commercial I’ll be using nothing but Woolite. None other than Rob Zombie directed the ad. Plus Woolite has a special formula just for dark clothing — Woolite Extra Dark Care.  I have nothing but darks, so this sounds like the detergent for me.

I just bought a bottle, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

  1. I was using Radiant Black Wash until we found a general purpose detergent that supposedly contained no whitening agents – one less bottle in the laundry seemed like a good idea at the time, and besides, Radiant used a perfume my partner didn’t like the smell of. I regret switching away now though, as a few of my Lip Service pants have definitely become greyer since. Might have to give the Woolite a go 🙂

  3. That ad is just awesome! My family has been using Woolite forever. Mom always insisted that our “delicates” needed to be washed by hand and with Woolite and I’ve followed her lead. When Woolite Dark came out I was utterly thrilled and started using it religiously.

Everyone in my family has super sensitive skin. We get rashes if a detergent is too strong or too perfumed. Woolite has never irritated my skin, smells great, and lasts a long, long time because you use so little of it. And yes, it does save your clothes from fading, etc. I highly recommend both, Woolite Dark and regular ol’ Woolite.

    Hugs from NYC!

    • The ad makes me so happy. Good to hear that it works well with sensitive skin. And so happy to hear it helps with fading. I just retired my favorite H&M dress due to fading. 😦

  4. An advantage of being goth is that you never have to sort your laundry. 😉 I have used Woolite Dark for a few years and have been pleased with the results. I machine-wash everything in cold water, put it in the dryer on LOW for 5-10 minutes to shake out the wrinkles, and then hang it all up to dry. I have very little fading.

  5. haha, I love that commercial! Rod Zombie is awesome 😀

  6. It’s funny because this is the only clothing detergent I’ll use on my clothes.
