Send up the Bat-Signal!

Via La Carmina–   Holy bat print dress.  This is the dress of the year.  I love it.

La Carmina (goth blogger,Yale Law grad, author, fashion designer, TV Host, CNNGO Correspondent, pirate, fashion journalist) posted this outfit on her blog.  The dress is from Sourpuss. The black flower hair clip is also from Sourpuss.  The ever-fabulous Gothic Carmina wisely pairs the dress with an equally amazing lace jacket from Moi-meme-Moitie.  Her blue shoes make me smile.  La Carmina does a great job of pulling the whole outfit together and looks gorgeous doing it.

The picture above was taken on the streets of Florence, Italy.  La Carmina and her pal Sebastiano Serafini are in Italy taking part in an event gathering the most influential fashion bloggers in the world, Luisaviaroma’sFirenze4Ever 3rd edition.

La Carmina says that “[i]t was fun to bring underground/gothic street wear to a designer-chic environment.”  Agreed.

Congrats to La Carmina.  Stay Spooky!

  1. You are right. That is a great dress. &, I like la carmina with red hair.

  2. Ooh, I love it too! I don’t normally go for cliches such as bats, but this is just too cute to not *totally* love!! 🙂

  3. The dress is sublime but La Carmina has lost a lot of express in the Lolita and Goth communities for having a poor attitude, disrupting fashion shows, and generally behaving badly.

    • I’m glad you like the dress because I’m wearing one right now. I’m sorry you feel that way about La. She has been nothing but kind to me. All of my interactions with her online and in person have been great.

  4. […] I previously dubbed this Sourpuss dress the “dress of the year.”   A bat dress can be a little cliche, but that is fine with me.  After I posted about the dress, I bought one (of course).  And, I have worn it a great deal.  So often, in fact, that just about everyone I know (friends, family, neighbors) have seen me in it.
