The world of Delfina Delettrez

Three Skulls Ring by Delfina Delettrez made from black silver.

Delfina Delettrez, a jewelry designer based out of Roma, makes some amazing items.  Delfina’s designs are dark, beautiful and innovative.

Her customizable “Make Your Finger” ring (pictured below) is on Siouxsie’s wishlist.  You can change the nail polish on the ring’s fingernails.  And the ring comes with a free bottle of midnight-black nail polish.

It is a hand that you wear on your finger. Aww.

Design is in Delfina’s genes.  She is fourth generation Fendi.  Her mother, Silvia Venturini Fendi, is an accessory designer for Fendi.  And, her father is Bernard Delettrez, a renowned French jewelry designer.

In contrast to Bernard Delettrez’ classic and understated designs, Delfina’s jewelry makes a certain impact and is inspired by her love of all things gothic, romantic and spookily sinister. Jewel skull necklaces, enamel rings adorned with frogs and bracelets that look back at you through eyes of Murano glass.  Delfina thinks of herself when she  designs and wants to create something for women with a strong character and a sense of humor.  (Source)

Is Skeletor a fashion icon? Of course he is.

Delfina cites Tim Burton as an influence.  Perhaps, she was influenced by Charles Addams and He-Man, too. The Skeletor Belt (pictured below) is so fierce that it borders on camp or costume, but it manages to not to go over the line.  Delfina’s latest collection features insects and factories.

Tiny Top Hat tip to Raven.  Thanks for letting me know about Delfina.

Delfina's Skeletor belt is gorgeous.
