Einstuerzende Neubauten U.S. Tour Canceled

It is pronounced ein-shturr-tzen-deh noy-bow-ten and it means no 30th Anniversary tour in the United States.

So says this email received:

Attention ticket holder!

We just learned that your upcoming event has been canceled:

Einstürzende Neubauten
Webster Hall
Tuesday, December 14 with the doors open at 8PM

It is with great regret that Einstürzende Neubauten announces the
cancellation of their planned thirtieth anniversary appearances in Los
Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, and New York. While the US
Department of Homeland Security did issue approvals for the band’s
visas, it was not done in time to secure the appointments at the
overseas embassies and consulates that represent the necessary final
step in the process.

The band members are tremendously disappointed by this turn of events
and wish to thank all those fans who purchased tickets for these
performances for their support. The band would have loved to do the
tour and meet their overseas fans. Because this tour was a
time-sensitive production, it will not be rescheduled.

As fans, we feel your pain! At least you don’t have to do anything to
receive a refund.

We’ll automatically refund your order, including fees (except UPS and
InStore Pick Up, if applicable) to your credit card within 7 – 10
business days.

Thanks for being a fan!

  1. Well, I lost EN, but I won Fluffy. I’m thankful for something.

  2. Wow. That’s just awful. I never got to see them, and now it looks like I’m not going to. *sigh*
