Update: Is Professor Althouse the New Goth?
Last week, Siouxsie Law criticized Professor Althouse’s suggestion that radical Muslim is the new goth, and Siouxsie Law questioned whether Professor Althouse may herself be goth.
Professor Althouse responded this week. She did not deny that she may in fact be goth, but declined a goth makeover from Siouxsie Law. Professor Althouse did, however, express her openness to some Photoshopping.
And a few of Professor Althouse’s readers quickly provided Photoshopped versions of a goth Ann Althouse. This one, by Pundit Joe, was particularly impressive:
But Siouxsie Law sees Professor Althouse as more of an elegant gothic aristocrat. Many thanks to Amelie Nocturna for her help on this — a bottle of absinthe is coming your way.

Great pic. Your photoshop skills are impressive. I think the dark hair really works for Prof. Althouse.
Thanks. I can’t take credit for the Photoshop though. That was Amelie Nocturna.
Haha, love it!
